Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts that can go wrong so are generally cheaper to maintain than a traditional car, tend to be more reliable and generally break down less. It will depend on the size of the battery and on the charger that you use. If you charge the battery at a rapid charging station, you can be done in 30 minutes. Slower charge points can take anything between 3 to 8 hours to achieve full charge. The most convenient way to charge your car battery is probably to have a charge point installed at home.

A typical manufacturer battery warranty will be between 5 and 8 years but with current technology, you can expect the battery life to be anything between 10 and 20 years although its capacity will reduce over that time. Yes. The National Car Test (NCT) currently tests hybrid and electric vehicles. The only difference is that there is no emissions test. We carry out pre-NCT inspections here at Callan Autos.
